Random Reportage

Tuesday, January 31st, 2006

Well, I was glad to see Marisa weigh in with her opinion of my haircut. I know I like it, but I’m never sure I’m the best judge of what is flattering to my own self, whether that be clothing, hair, makeup, whatEVER.

I have been very much exhausted the last few days.  All the available time I could allot to sleeping, that’s exactly what I did.  One friend suggested it was the "new job" exhaustion feeling.  Matt suggested it was more of a physical ailment.  Heaven only knows.  I’m just grateful I’m feeling reasonably awake and alert tonight.  I still intend to go to bed rather early (no obsessive SOTU watching for me), but it’s comforting to know that it’s 7:30 and I’m not falling face first into the keyboard from being to tired to think clearly.

I’m wondering if I should take down my brief experiment in Badger-based Blogging.  I’m not sure I have enough innate creativity to sustain such a project.  Even if I have sufficient cleverness, I’m really not sure I have the time and energy to sustain three blogs: this, Badger, and Metroblogs.

I’ve started to try and make my office more hospitable. Walking to work adds an extra facet to that project: I can only add what is readily carry-able in a particular day. This morning’s choices served to demonstrate what I believe to be the essentials of life: my pod coffeemaker, my water bottle, my calendars (wall and desk), and my four elements shoes.

Coffee and shoes. No shocker there.

Not that I’ve ever actually worn one or anything…
