Up for Sale
Sunday, January 30th, 2005Well, I’m finally taking the next step in one of my decluttering projects. Part of the great December furniture exchange involved an old 1970’s-ugly white-painted-wood armoire going out and a newer, more-to-my-tastes dark wood armoire coming in. Obviously, this furniture exchange required me to empty out all the conmtents of the old armoire—to be precise, my needle work stash.
It occured to me that it might be useful to sort through all those kits and patterns before storing them in the new cabinet. Tastes change, and I figured I might find things I no longer wanted to stitch—things I could sell on eBay and get them the hell out of my house.
So, after Chrstmas, I did some sorting on and off, and then these stacks of things sat around a couple weeks waiting for me to start taking digital pictures and putting up listings. Which, this afternoon, I have finally done.
Only four listings up so far: all kits of different dream catcher designs:
But while I was home with enough daylight for decent picture-taking (which won’t happen again till 6 days from now), I got 3 more kits and about 40 charts in the digital image bank, for me to edit and list at my "leisure"—well, in little bits and batches, at least. It’s not what I most dream of as a leisure activity, in the usual (fun!!!) sense of the phrase. But it will be a good way to make slow progress on the BDC.
So, if you’ve any desire for crass-stich supplies on auction, keep trolling for items being sold under my "mezzosherri" moniker. No, I’m not obnoxious enough to write a new post with links every time I do a new ebay listing. I’ll just have to exercise faith in the shopping acumen of the ebay surfer….
